Council of Collaboratives
The Council of Collaboratives is comprised of leadership from each Collaborative and is a forum for dialogue, action, and coordination to address issues in a broad community context.
Child Abuse and Neglect Collaborative
The Child Abuse and Neglect Collaborative works together to prevent child abuse and neglect through five identified priorities.
Early Care and Education
The Early Care & Education Collaborative is committed to improving the quality, affordability, and availability of early care and education. It unites child advocates to identify priorities and develop strategies that address early care and education needs in our community.
The Environmental Collaborative serves as a vehicle to bring together leadership of all environmental and conservation groups for opportunity, to avoid overlaps in efforts and identify gaps in services, as well as provide communication to keep all parties informed. Its subcommittee, Ozarks Clean Air Alliance, focuses on improving local air quality.
The Food Collaborative promotes the development of a healthy, functioning local food system by facilitating the efforts of food groups representing all parts of the community, including those not at the table. It envisions a community that collaborates to address food issues and takes actions to develop a healthy, coordinated and sustainable food system. It values collaboration, which produces a strategic plan utilizing existing resources, that generates measurable outcomes that guide the development of a sustainable, healthy food system for all.
The Housing Collaborative advances knowledge on issues related to affordable housing by creating a forum for community-wide problem solving that targets all populations at every stage of assistance ensuring safe, decent, affordable housing for elderly to youth and homeless to home owner. Its subcommittee, Safe & Sanitary Homes, ensures the health and safety of all citizens and first responders by educating and empowering our community to address and alleviate hoarding and unsanitary living conditions.
The Transportation Collaborative facilitates connections between people, jobs, and community, through multiple modes of transportation, throughout the greater Springfield area.
