2018 Raffle to Ride – Official Rules
The “Raffle to Ride” is a fundraiser presented for the benefit of Community Partnership of the Ozarks (CPO), a charitable organization under 501(c)(3) of the revenue code.
For a donation of $25 per ticket, each participant will be entered into the Raffle to Ride drawing to take place on October 29, 2018, at Youngblood Auto, 3505 S. Campbell Ave., Springfield, MO, at 7 p.m. Participants may purchase as many tickets as they wish.
The Raffle to Ride ticket stub/entry form must be filled out completely and submitted to CPO at 330 N. Jefferson, Springfield, MO 65806 by midnight on October 27, 2018. Each stub/entry form requires the participant’s name, phone, and email address. Lost tickets will be void and invalid. Tickets are non-refundable.
If for any reason beyond the control of CPO (such as weather conditions), CPO determines not to conduct the raffle on Ocotber 29, 2018, CPO reserves the right to reschedule the event within 30 days.
The winner will be announced immediately following the raffle drawing and need not be present to win. The name of the winner will be posted on the CPO Facebook page, www.facebook/cpozarks, and on the website at cpozarks.org/event/raffletoride.
In cases where a winner is not present, CPO will make all reasonable attempts to contact the winner(s) via the contact information he or she provided on the Raffle to Ride ticket information form. During normal business hours, winners may contact Community Partnership of the Ozarks (417) 888-2020. Winning ticket and valid ID must be presented to claim prize. Any cash prizes not claimed by October 31, 2018, will be considered unclaimed and dedicated to unrestricted funding for Community Partnership of the Ozarks.
By entering the Raffle to Ride, participant consents, without limitation or additional compensation, to the use of their names, voice, photograph, likeness and/or entry form for advertising and/or trade purposes, except where prohibited by law.
Each participant releases, discharges, indemnifies, and holds harmless CPO, sponsors and affiliated companies and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, loss, harm, injury, damage, cost and expense whatsoever arising directly or indirectly from the use of the prize or participation in the Raffle to Ride.
By participating in the Raffle to Ride, participant acknowledges CPO and/or its staff and/or its Board of Directors have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness.
All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of individual winners. Winners will be required to sign an IRS form W9. Winners will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, and Release Indemnification and Liability/Publicity Release within ten days of notification. In the event of noncompliance with any of the above conditions, the winning prize(s) and/or proceeds will be forfeited and no winner will be named.
Participants must be 18 years of age to enter and to win.
Odds of winning are dependent upon number of participants/tickets sold. A minimum of 1,600 tickets must be sold for the vehicle grand prize to be awarded to the winner. If less than 1,600 tickets are sold, this event automatically becomes a 50/50 raffle. In this case, the winner will receive the alternate grand prize of 50 percent of ticket sales for this event, or $5,000, whichever amount is greater.
