Springfield Tool Library

A tool library works like a traditional library, but it lends tools instead of books. It’s a great resource for people who want to use tools, but don’t need them (or have a place to store them) all the time.

The Springfield Tool Library, the only program of its kind in the state, lends out home repair and gardening tools to Springfield residents and community groups. Membership is $15. This is a pro-rated amount valid through April 2020! You can borrow up to 5 tools at a time and keep them for one week!

We also offer Tool Library-related events throughout the year – a quarterly Fix-it Fair and an annual Gearhead Garage Sale. For more information about these events, visit our Events page.

The Springfield Tool Library is located at 330 N. Jefferson, in the large shed on the north side of the parking lot. The Tool Library is open and staffed from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursdays, and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Sundays, or by appointment. Call 888-2020 or email mhethcoat@cpozarks.org to make an appointment.
